How to Whiten Your Teeth Naturally - Teeth Whitening Tips

A really bright, white smile is always an asset. In pursuit of the perfect smile, many have sought tooth whitening methods of many different kinds. There are numerous smile-brightening agents in the local pharmacy as well as in the grocery stores. The telephone book has an over-abundance of the names and telephone numbers of countless dentists. They are understandably anxious and willing to receive costly remuneration for their participation in providing all who request their services in obtaining a bright and dazzling smile.
The whitening treatment by the dentist usually involves the application of highly concentrated peroxide gel on the surfaces of the teeth. This gel is irritating to the gums and thus requires the gums to be protected from contact with it. The gel is usually left on the teeth for 15 or 20 minute intervals. On average, these in-office treatments cost $650.00 nationwide.
However, there is a natural way to bedazzle your smile that is surprisingly inexpensive. You do not have to make a major withdrawal from your hard-earned savings. You do not have to buy whitening agents from the store. You do not have to make a trip to the dentist's office. You can give yourself an effective treatment in the comfort of your own home. With the purchase of two simple items from your neighborhood grocer, you can polish your own pearls. These items are a ripe strawberry and baking soda. The strawberry contains malic acid which when combined with the baking soda becomes an astringent. It effectively removes surface discoloration in a procedure that is both simple and natural.
First, you must purchase a ripe strawberry and some baking soda from the grocery store. Then, in the comfort and privacy of your own home, crush the strawberry into pulp. Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and mix it thoroughly. With a soft toothbrush, apply this mixture to all tooth surfaces. (Relax. It will not sting your gums.) Allow it to remain on your teeth for 5 minutes. Brush thoroughly with toothpaste to remove the strawberry mixture from your teeth. You may want to floss to get rid of any strawberry seeds that may remain. You can repeat this procedure safely once per week as not to weaken the enamel surface of your teeth.
Then, it will be time to flash your new, beautiful, and bright smile to the world, with the confidence that whiter teeth provide.By Renata Nyleve
